JANUARY 2025
We trust you and your families had a peaceful and relaxing festive season. We do hope that the new year has come to a good start and do thank you for your continued support.
We are looking forward to welcoming Dr Sabrina Kamthunzi to our team on January 13. Sabrina will join Dr Chris Rohrbach and Dr Charlotte Letheren.
Amy McCulloch has come back from her travels and re-joined the team as our new Practice Manager. Amy is your first point of contact for any questions you might have. Welcome back, Amy, we are thrilled you found your way back to Ōamaru and Ōamaru Doctors.
PAYMENTS:
We would like to apologise for any confusion regarding direct credit payments. Along with new software we have also changed our bank account and have introduced Medeor Pay by Link. We realise that our communication wasn’t flawless.
While payments are preferred on the day, you are still welcome to direct credit any outstanding amounts into our account. We are now with Westpac and the account number is 03-0937-0090535-001.
However, you would help us very much if you would make use of the Medeor Pay by Link option. If you receive and email or a text with a payment link, you can pay directly from any device and will receive a detailed invoice. We can assure you that this is a secure way of paying your account.
Please feel free to contact our friendly team if you have any questions.
RESULTS:
Patients will only be notified of results that require action. This is the “no news is good news policy”. You are able to check your results via the patient portal Manage My Health. Patients may also call Reception and request a nurse to call back if they want to discuss their results.
COUGH, COLD, SORE THROAT AND OTHER FLU-LIKE SYMPTOMS:
Please call prior to coming in. We will phone triage you and make the necessary arrangements at that time. This may be to have a Covid-19 swab (RAT test or PCR) or to have a consultation with the doctor. This is to keep you, our staff and all our patients safe.
