However, if you do want it faxed to a local pharmacy, you will have to type in the fax number, the system requires that (Our tip: even if it is the wrong number, your prescriptions will get there safely, we will take care of it).

Encouraged by our patients’ positive feedback, we have increased our online services. You are now able to access your lab results, drug allergies, medical conditions, long term medications and the status of your immunisations. We are now offering online consultations and have chosen the provider doxy.me. You can still book as usual over the phone or through our online booking system.
All data is encrypted, your sessions are anonymous, and none of your information is stored.

April 2022 Update
The flu vaccine is available at Ōamaru Doctors from April 5, 2022. Please call to book an appointment. Funded flu vaccines are available for people aged over 65 years, pregnant people, and for people (including children) at risk of severe outcomes because of underlying health conditions. The eligibility of funded flu vaccines has been extended to Māori and Pacific people aged between 55-64 years.

Please respect all requests from staff, who are working to make the medical practice a safe environment for all of us. You may be asked to wait in your car for the doctor/nurse to invite you in. We have a duty of care to all our patients.
Cough, Cold, Sore throat or any other Flu like symptoms:
DO NOT COME INTO THE PRACTICE. We will phone triage and make the necessary arrangements at that time. This may be to have Covid-19 swab (RAT test or PCR) or to have a consultation with the doctor. This is to keep you, our staff and all our patients safe.
COVID Vaccine Booster available:
The booster doses are available for anyone 18 years of age and over and it has been 3 months since your last dose. Please ring 0800 28 29 26 or go to “book my vaccine” http://www.bookmyvaccine.covid19.health.nz to book your free appointment with Ōamaru Doctors.
Positive COVID-19 tests:
